一個獨棟別墅的建築及室內設計作品,開始本案設計之初,屋主希望未來本空間呈現的是一種法式的氛圍,我們對於空間風格一直以來的看法便是「取意不取形」,我們希望能擁有風格的意境但不跟隨某種特殊風格的形式。

A building and interior design work of a detached villa. At the very start of designing this project, the homeowner hoped that the future space would present a French ambiance. Our consistent perspective on spatial style has always been "capturing the essence rather than adhering to the form" – we wish to embrace the artistic conception of the style without following the rigid forms of any specific style.

所謂的法式風格在美學的特點上便是自然、悠然自得、陽光明媚之空間情境,與其說是法式,我們更期待他是一場【空間協奏曲】的演奏,不強調任何形式,所有的元素就如同樂隊偕同演奏一般,既有對比又相互交融,加入最重要的元素:光線,風和水聲,以這樣的基底空間環境,最後,讓生活於此的空間主人盡情展現其生活的樂章。

The aesthetic characteristics of French style lie in a spatial context of nature, ease and sunshine. Rather than simply defining it as French style, we envision it more as a performance of [Space Concerto]: no emphasis is placed on any fixed forms, and all elements interact like a band playing in unison – contrasting yet blending with one another. We incorporate the most crucial elements: light, wind and the sound of water, building the foundational spatial environment with these. Finally, we let the homeowners living here fully unfold the movement of their lives.

序曲 - Intro

整部協奏曲以一種極為空靈乾淨並充滿想像的情境開啟了序曲,空間除了解決機能的問題之外,更深一層的目的是影響人的心情。進門所見,空間情境讓人心裡放下外面的塵世喧囂,回歸到家人間最純粹的相處狀態。

The entire concerto opens with an overture that is ethereal, clean, and full of imagination. Beyond addressing functional needs, the space serves a deeper purpose: to influence one’s mood. Upon entering, the spatial atmosphere allows one to let go of the hustle and bustle of the outside world and return to the purest state of companionship with family.

曲面玻璃磚屏風以一種曲徑通幽的型態引導人的視覺延伸與空間的流動性,通透的材質表現一方面婆娑隱約的界定出了玄關與衣帽間之空間領域,另一方面帶給空間一種清澈的質感調性。

The curved glass brick screen guides the extension of vision and the fluidity of space in a winding path leading to seclusion. With its translucent materiality, it subtly delineates the spatial boundaries between the entrance hall and the cloakroom on one hand, and endows the space with a clear and pure textural tone on the other.

主歌 - Verse

Verse是一首歌曲的主旋律,純粹,是我們認為這空間最重要的基調,它就像一張無彩卻極俱質感之畫布,用以襯托最重要的畫作亦即屋主家人生活之各式活動,空間為輔、生活為主。為達到純粹的空間基調我們捨棄繁複的材料與形式設計,全案牆面採用天然礦物塗料,用最純粹的材料與色調給予空間最重要的主歌基調。

The Verse is the main melody of a song, and "purity" is what we believe to be the most crucial keynote of this space. It is like a colorless yet highly textural canvas, serving to set off the most important "painting"—the various life activities of the homeowner’s family—with space as the complement and life as the focus. To achieve this pure spatial keynote, we abandoned intricate materials and formalistic designs; the walls throughout the project adopt natural mineral coatings, using the purest materials and tones to lay the foundational Verse of the space.

副歌 - Chorus

副歌chorus是整首曲子的高潮、歌曲的主旨,貫穿整首曲子形成人們對這曲子最深刻的記憶點。而在本空間協奏曲中,倚靠主歌純粹的空間基調為背景,我們在挑空區吊頂作出了一個貫穿整個開放空間的特殊設計,由平面延伸的自由曲面匯整了挑空區主照明的光膜,形成整個空間的視覺焦點,串聯了二層樓之挑空空間並柔化了整個空間的視覺感受,讓人對這首曲子亦即這個空間留下最深刻的空間記憶點。

The Chorus, as the climax and core theme of the entire piece, runs through the melody and becomes the most enduring memory of the song. In this "Space Concerto," against the pure spatial keynote of the Verse, we crafted a distinctive design on the ceiling of the double-height area that spans the entire open space. A free-flowing curved surface extending from the plane integrates the light film of the main lighting in the double-height area, forming the visual focal point of the entire space. It connects the double-height space across two floors, softens the overall visual experience, and leaves an indelible spatial impression—just like the chorus of a song that lingers in one’s mind.

變奏 – Solo

生活不是一成不變,承載生活的容器亦是如此。一個1000m²的住宅除了空間的主調之外更需要許多搭配生活活動的不同空間情境,空間是一首凝固的樂曲,空間的情緒鋪陳完全可以理解為樂曲的編曲。安排於入口玄關側的茶室,能在私領域之外第一線接待接待入戶的訪客,低調人文的質感連結戶外的綠植,創造出一個綠意敞亮的對話空間。

Life is not static, and neither is the vessel that carries it. Beyond its core spatial tone, this 1,000-square-meter residence requires diverse spatial contexts tailored to different life activities—space is a frozen musical composition, and its emotional layering can be fully understood as the orchestration of a melody. The tea room, situated beside the entrance hall, greets visiting guests at the forefront outside the private domain. Its understated humanistic texture connects with outdoor greenery, creating a bright, lush dialogue space.

穿越客廳後配置於內院一旁的餐廳,連結內院景觀並三面大片玻璃採光,企圖最大化放大室內空間之尺度感並將綠意視覺延伸至室內,讓用餐行為彷如在一個大自然之環境下進行,家具軟裝的選擇更突顯了女主人對美好生活之品味。

After passing through the living room, the dining room—positioned adjacent to the inner courtyard—connects seamlessly with the courtyard landscape and features large glass panels on three sides for natural lighting. It aims to maximize the sense of scale within the indoor space and visually extend the greenery into the room, allowing the dining experience to unfold as if immersed in nature. The selection of furniture and soft furnishings further accentuates the hostess’s taste for a refined life.

結尾 - Outro

Outro便是一首曲子的結尾，可以是音樂，也可以是唱歌，或輕或重，或快或慢，作用是讓聽者對這首歌回味無窮，餘音裊裊。我們希望在這首空間協奏曲的結尾能讓屋主獲得最初心的快樂,就像一個愛車人士一般,每次啟動引擎的瞬間都能一次次獲得內心的滿足。

The Outro is the conclusion of a piece of music—it can be instrumental, vocal, soft or bold, fast or slow. Its purpose is to leave the listener lingering on the melody, with its echoes fading gently yet persistently. We hope that the Outro of this "Space Concerto" will bring the homeowners back to their original joy, much like a car enthusiast who finds heartfelt satisfaction every single time they start the engine.

來到地下一層的空間,迎面而來的是非常乾淨純粹的畫面,玻璃磚疊砌而成的發光量體成為遠方視覺的焦點,空間沿著弧形量體流動到一個非常特殊的曲面自動玻璃入口,每次門片自動開啟的同時,彷彿回到兒時的秘密基地,不同的是當年的秘密基地藏的是玩具,如今私藏的是屋主多年珍藏的存酒。透過吊頂及地面的鏡面反射,酒窖彷如一個空間萬花筒,每次進入這空間的感覺正如同上述啟動引擎的瞬間,一次次讓人獲得內心的滿足。

Descending to the basement level, one is greeted by an exquisitely clean and pure scene. A luminous volume constructed from stacked glass bricks emerges as the distant visual focal point. The space flows along the curved volume to an exceptionally unique curved automatic glass entrance; each time the door slides open, it feels like returning to a childhood secret base—except the secret base of years past stored toys, while now it houses the homeowner’s precious collection of wines amassed over many years. Through the mirrored reflections of the ceiling and floor, the wine cellar resembles a spatial kaleidoscope. Every entry into this space evokes the same heartfelt satisfaction as the moment of starting an engine, time and again.
